[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Today I had the massive pleasure of photographing Kuzey, Koray, and Ayaz, Triplets born on the 5th January 2015, gestation age of 31 weeks.
This Triplet pregnancy was a very rare one, mono-mono (monoamniotic) twins and a singlet. Monoamniotic twins the umbilical cord and the placenta, happens in as few as one in 35,000 pregnancies, and just one per cent of twin pregnancies. They had a 4 week stay in NICU.
So today at 7 weeks old but yet still not due until Tuesday the 3rd March, they travelled nearly 2 hours for my first ever triplet photography session.
Maddy Rogers from Maddy Rogers Photography came down from Grimsby to assist me and boy did I need her!!
Photographing newborns is a very specialised area with lots of safety implications so you can imagine 3 babies its a little bit of a juggling act. The reason Newborn photographers like to have their subjects so young Ideally between 5-10 days is down to brain age and muscle tone … Even if your newborn is born very early like these triplets, being 7 weeks proved to have a few problems …. curly poses are almost impossible as they like to stretch out and sleep patterns are very different, But even though these 3 adorable little boys were 7 weeks old they did amazingly.
